TeleHeadache is currently a self-pay service and does not bill insurance directly. However, we do recommend uploading your insurance card in the patient portal, as medications may be covered by your pharmacy benefit depending on your plan.
Clinical & Treatment-Related
What types of headaches do you treat?
TeleHeadache specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of migraine, including chronic and episodic types, as well as tension headaches, hormonal migraines, cluster headaches, and new daily persistent headache (NDPH). Whether you’re dealing with monthly migraines or daily headache symptoms, our expert providers deliver personalized virtual headache care tailored to your specific needs.
Do I need a prior diagnosis to start treatment?
No prior diagnosis is required. At TeleHeadache, our licensed providers perform a comprehensive virtual evaluation to determine the cause of your headaches. Whether you’ve never seen a headache specialist or you’re looking for a second opinion, we’ll develop an individualized migraine treatment plan—no referral or medical history required.
Can I get refills or manage my current migraine medication with you?
Yes. If you’re already taking migraine prevention or acute treatment medications, our clinicians can continue, adjust, or optimize your current regimen—after reviewing your health history and treatment goals. We also offer online prescription refills for migraine medications as part of your subscription.
Do you offer non-medication or holistic treatment options?
Absolutely. While we use evidence-based medications, our providers also guide you through non-pharmacological migraine treatments, including lifestyle changes, trigger management, supplements, sleep optimization, and stress reduction techniques. Our approach is integrative—combining medical science with practical wellness strategies.
What if my migraines don’t improve?
If your symptoms persist or worsen, your provider will reassess your diagnosis and adjust your treatment plan accordingly. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all care. You’ll receive ongoing support, follow-up visits, and expert modifications to ensure we’re moving toward long-term migraine control—even if it takes a few rounds of adjustment.
